Joe Brazil is an entertainment lawyer, with 25 years of experience in the music industry. He is the Vice President of Business Affairs for Capitol Christian Music Group in Nashville, a subsidiary of Capitol Records and Universal Music Group. Joe manages the Business Affairs (Legal) department for the company, which includes Capitol CMG Label Group, Capitol CMG Publishing, Sparrow Records, ForeFront Records, Motown Gospel, Capitol Christian Distribution, and others.
Before his current position with Capitol, Joe had his own law practice, specializing in entertainment law and related matters. Prior to starting his law practice, he worked for Loeb & Loeb LLP in their Music Row office, during which time Joe was awarded “Best of the Bar – Entertainment Law” by the Nashville Business Journal. Joe is also a Registered Patent Attorney with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.
Joe has a Doctor of Law degree from Emory University School of Law, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Vanderbilt University. Joe lives in Brentwood, Tennessee with his wife, Natasha, and they have two children.
