Ryan O'Grady

Ryan O’Grady serves as Assistant Vice President of Member Services at the American Society of Composers, Authors & Publishers (ASCAP), a membership association of more than 1.1 million US composers, songwriters, lyricists and music publishers of every genre.

Ryan joined ASCAP in 2011 as a Member Services Representative in Los Angeles, providing customer service to ASCAP’s writer and publisher members in areas of payments, career development, benefits, education, communication, advocacy and recognition. Since 2011, Ryan continued to expand in his role at ASCAP becoming a Manager of Member Services in 2013 and eventually transferring to ASCAP’s Nashville office where he oversaw the Global Services teams in New York, Los Angeles and Nashville as Director.

In 2019, Ryan left ASCAP to join Capitol CMG as Director of Publishing Administration focusing on Copyright and Income Tracking. After six years with CCMG he rejoined ASCAP’s Nashville team in the Fall of 2025. Ryan works closely with ASCAP’s Nashville Creative team and Business & Legal Affairs and is currently a member of the Copyright Society of the South, the Academy of Country Music (ACM) & the Country Music Association (CMA) and serves on the board of the Gospel Music Association (GMA) Advocacy Committee.

Ryan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Industry from California State University, Northridge.
